These antique French grain measures, are made of wood with a cork lid. They are stamped on the bottom as made in Poitiers. One is marked 'litre' and one 'double litre'.
This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal.
