An antique sign with gilt lettering on a metal background. The frame is walnut veneered wood.
Dating from the 1800's, the sign advertises Mussard Freres (Paris), who manufactured pianos. It would have been hung outside the shop of J. Billion & Company, who sold pianos in Bordeaux.
This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal.
