Made in the South West of France, this antique earthenware olive oil decanter has plenty of character.
It has a green glaze with great patterns from wear, various marks and indentations and a beautiful patina. The bottom has some felt attached, as was a display piece in a local collection. It has been varnished, we believe, to stop any paint flaking from it. It has not been tested for water-tightness, and is sold as a decorative object.
This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal.
