- /per
This rare early 19th Century cheese seperator is handcrafted in terracotta. It features a rich glaze on the interior and rim, with an unglazed base on the outside. It's unique form: a wide, shallow basin with a raised central platform, designed to separate whey from curd during the cheese-making process, resembles the silhouette of a Tian mixing bowl.
This rustic pottery bowl would make a great feature item, adding rustic French country charm to any kitchen.
This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal.
