Rare Antique French Heart Shaped Terracotta Cake Mould

An antique terracotta mould used for making a traditional cake in wood fired ovens dating from the mid 19th Century. This style is from the Alsace area in northern France.

This is a rare piece. Although traditional, the heart shaped moulds are hard to find.

This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal.
