Made in the South West of France, this antique earthenware oil jug has plenty of character.
The top half has a rich green glaze with great patterns from wear, various marks and indentations and a beautiful patina. The bottom half is unglazed and has an interesting texture that indicates its many decades of use.
This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal. It has not been tested for water-tightness, and is sold as a decorative object.
