French Glazed Green Ceramic Poodle Knife Rests

This set of six poodle knife holders date from the mid 20th century. Know as porte-couteaux faience, this style of knife rest was once very popular in France.

Designed to keep knives elevated above the table cloth between courses, they are both practical and a great gift for a dog lover.

This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal.
