Antique French earthenware cruche, originating from the south of France. This cruche is complete with wooden lid, which is hard to find. It has a lovely mottled green glaze. Typically used for storing liquids such as water or wine.
This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal. It has not been tested for water-tightness, and is sold as a decorative object.
