Antique French Wooden République Française Sign

An antique hand-painted République Française shield, that would have been mounted on the wall outside of the local town hall. The wooden frame behind allowed for French tricolore flags to be mounted along with the shield. Often metal, it is rare to find a wooden shield.

This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal.
