This blue glass soda syphon would have been found in many a bar and cafe across France throughout the early 1900s. It is branded 'Brasseries l'Atlantique' which is etched into the glass and also embossed into the metal trigger and spout.
Brasserie l'atlantique was a brewery located in Bordeaux, which had a large riverside brasserie. They supplied bars and restaurants throughout the local region.
Although no longer functional, this would make a great addition to a home bar display to echo the charm of the brasseries of France. Its bright blue glass adds a real pop of colour.
This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal.
