Framed oil on canvas of the Virgin Mary. Excellent detail and very beautifully painted. Signed with what appears to be reference to being in the style of Giovanni Sassoferrato, as this is a near copy of his work 'Mater Dolorosa'. Slight marks to canvas and frame as seen in the photos.
This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal.
