Antique French Monastery Brass Doorbell

The solid brass bell once adorned the entrance to a monastery. Inscribed with latin text 'Ad majoriem dei gloriam' roughly translated as 'For the greater glory of God'.

This is an excellent example in very good condition.

This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal.
