From the village of Saint-Uze, close to Lyon, this distinctive blue and white pottery is very well known.
This pot with its lid is a rare find, as most lids are broken or lost.
This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal. It has not been tested for water-tightness, and is sold as a decorative object.
