Originally used to collect the sap of pine trees in the forests of the Landes department. The farmers tied these pots to the trees, made an incision in the bark above, then allowed the sap to fill these pots.
Every one of these pots are unique, rustic and weathered and some have traces of the resin that was once collected in them. These pots make great flower pots, storage pots, or just as a charming and unique decorative item.
This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal. This product has not been tested for water-tightness.
