Baguettes and bread in general are such an integral part of French life, that law dictates that every French citizen has access to fresh daily bread.

Traditionally used as part of the daily routine, this bread slicer is both functional and stylish. The blade is very old, but at some point in the 20th Century, it looks to have been mounted onto a newer board.

This is a very old and well used item with many decades of use. As such, it has age-related marks, scratches and scrapes which enhance its rustic appeal. The brass collar near the handle is loose, and we have decided to leave it as we found it.
